This very fine and strong vintage chain is less than 1mm thick, somewhere between 0.5mm and 0.75mm. In the photo, I have strung it through a Czech size 6/0 seed bead so you can see that it will fit through small holes

Links are individually soldered, and you can use crimp beads or small crimp ends to hold it. I do not carry crimp ends that small, but the Vintaj brand brass crimp beads that I carry do work, especially if you flatten them into a bit of an oval shape with your pliers, first. The lighter color of the Vintaj crimps is a good match for the "gingerbread" patina on this chain. It could also be soldered or glued

Vintage brass chain should not contain lead or nickel but has not been tested due to its age. The color is fairly consistent, but may vary due to the fact that this is a natural as opposed to an applied patina
